GCC’s Department of Education takes pride that it has 100% passing rate in the Licensure Examination for Teachers, one of which ranked 7th in the March 2014 LET for Elementary Education. The Bachelor in Secondary Education is an undergraduate program that prepares students to become high school teachers in their chosen subjects. The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) program prepares students for a career in Accountancy, particularly in Public Accounting. It follows the latest standards from the International Education Standards of Accountancy (IFAC), qualifying graduates to take licensure exams from the Professional Regulatory Commission-Board of Accountancy (PRC-BOA) and other global organizations. Accountants provide assurance and audit services, tax services, management advisory, and financial reporting, and must be ethical, objective, and committed to lifelong learning. The program also includes courses in Christian faith and Chinese culture.
The goal is to produce competent, ethical professional accountants who can adapt to changes and contribute positively to society.
